Dog
mess is real nuisance and apart from being an unpleasant sight
it can be a real health hazard. Dog mess can make people very
ill, especially children who play on grass and reguarly fall over,
for example Toxocariasis, caused by roundworms in dogs and other
canine diseases can be fatal.
I am amazed
at the dog dirt there is just everywhere you go. Don't dog owners
have any idea of the harm this can do to children if they catch
the virus left in the excrement? They can go blind.
Why are people
not made to pick it up and have bins available for this? I have
travelled the world and never seen so much shit in one city, one
lovely city. Is there anyone else who cares about this out there?
How simple
is it to take out a bag with you on a walk and place the dirt
in this and then into a bin!
Why aren't
dog owners proud of where they live? Why don't they want to keep
it nice for everyone?
People should
be aware that Toxocara can stay in the ground for up to three
years after the dog/cat has fouled. Apart from all of that, it
is so nice to be able to walk freely without stepping between
dog dirt and looking down at the ground.
I am sure
it is an offence under European environmental health laws to allow
your dog to foul in public places and not clean up.
Don't let
your best friend spoil our streets - clear up after your dog.
Not doing so can lead to a £50 fine.
